The Guide TD650LS is the longest-range rangefinder thermal monocular in the APEX VISION TD LRF 3.0 series. It combines a 640×512 pixel sensor with 15 mK NETD, a 50 mm F1.0 objective lens that detects up to 2600 m and a laser rangefinder that measures up to 1200 m. It is made for observing and ranging in open country, at long distance.
Features
- Detection up to 2600 m (2800 yards) with a 50 mm F1.0 objective lens, the longest range in the series.
- Built-in 1200 m (1300 yards) laser rangefinder: the distance appears without changing device.
- 2.91x to 23.28x magnification to see a distant animal in detail before approaching it.
- 640×512 sensor at 12 µm with 15 mK NETD and ApexVision S1 architecture (ApexCore S1, Nexus 1.0, Hyper-Light 2.0).
- 8.8° × 6.6° field, or 15 × 12 m at 100 m.
- 0.49-inch AMOLED display at 1440×1080, 7 palettes and an eyepiece with −6 to +6 dioptre.
- Replaceable 18650 battery with up to 10 hours; two batteries and a charger in the box.
- Photo and video with sound, 2.4 and 5 GHz Wi-Fi and TargetIR app, with OTA software updates.
Why choose this model?
On plains, open woodland or in valleys, the animal often appears far away and distance is deceptive at night. The TD650LS solves both: the 50 mm lens brings the image closer and the rangefinder tells you how far away it is. It keeps the focus selector for one-handed use and IP67 protection.
It weighs 465 g (201 × 67 × 88 mm), 91 g more than the 35 mm rangefinder models. In dense cover, where a wide field matters more than range, the TD635LS is more practical.

How to choose
The rangefinder measures up to 1200 m on every model in the TD LRF 3.0 series, so the choice is about the image. With 50 mm, the TD650LS detects up to 2600 m against 1800 m for the 35 mm models. If you do not need to measure distances, the TD650S has the same sensor and the same lens and weighs 461 g.
Frequently asked questions
What is the range of the Guide TD650LS?
It detects heat sources up to 2600 m (2800 yards) and the laser rangefinder measures up to 1200 m (1300 yards).
What is the difference from the TD650S?
The sensor, lens and detection range are the same. The TD650LS has a laser rangefinder and is 201 mm long, against 189.5 mm.
And from the TD635LS?
The TD635LS uses a 35 mm lens: wider field (12.5° × 9.4°), detection up to 1800 m and 374 g. The TD650LS sees further and brings the image closer.
How long does the battery last?
Up to 10 hours with a replaceable 18650 battery; the box includes two batteries and the charger.
Does it work in rain and cold?
It has IP67 protection and operates between −20 °C and 50 °C.
Can it be mounted on a rifle?
No. The TD650LS is a handheld observation monocular, not a riflescope, and is not mounted on a gun.
