THERMTEC THERMAL CLIP-ON HUNT 335 PRO
The ThermTec HUNT 335 PRO thermal clip-on is a thermal imaging attachment that mounts in front of your day scope and turns it into a night observation and shooting system, without changing the scope or its reticle. It has a 384×288 sensor with ≤ 15 mK NETD, a 35 mm F0.9 objective lens and a Full HD AMOLED display, in a 399 g magnesium body.
Features
- 384×288 sensor at 12 µm, ≤ 15 mK NETD and 50 Hz: uncooled microbolometer with high thermal sensitivity that shows small temperature differences even in fog, rain or low contrast.
- 35 mm F0.9 objective lens: 7.5° × 5.7° field of view and a detection range of 1800 m stated by the manufacturer. Focus is set with a dedicated knob.
- 0.39-inch AMOLED display, 1920×1080: a sharp image passed to the scope, compatible with day scope magnifications of 1–12x according to ThermTec.
- Mounts in front of the scope: M52 × 0.75 thread for an adapter chosen by the outer diameter of the scope objective, such as the SmartClip adapters for HUNT PRO (sold separately, one per diameter). The scope keeps its zero and reticle.
- Fine zeroing of 1.1 cm at 100 m per click: shifts the thermal image to match the reticle and stores zeroing profiles.
- Two replaceable batteries: up to 7 hours each; they charge in the charger or in the device via USB-C.
- Magnesium alloy body: recoil resistance up to 6000 J, IP67 protection and operation from −20 °C to +50 °C.
- Recording and connectivity: photo and video on 64 GB of internal memory, recoil-activated video (RAV) with adjustable sensitivity, AI distance estimation, 6 colour palettes, Wi-Fi with the ThermTec Outdoor app and a wireless ring remote control.
- 2-in-1: becomes a handheld thermal monocular with the Hunt Eyepiece (ThermTec accessory).
Why choose this model?
The HUNT 335 PRO is the most affordable way into the HUNT PRO series: the same 399 g body, Full HD AMOLED display and functions as its siblings, with a 384×288 sensor and a bright 35 mm F0.9 lens. ThermTec recommends it with scopes up to 12x, and each battery lasts up to 7 hours, the longest in the series.
All weigh 399 g and share the same display and functions.

Frequently asked questions
How is the HUNT 335 PRO mounted on the scope?
With an M52 × 0.75 thread adapter (for example the SmartClip for HUNT PRO) chosen by the outer diameter of the scope objective. The adapter stays on the scope and the clip-on locks onto it. The adapter is bought separately.
Do I need to re-zero the rifle?
The scope keeps its zero. If the reticle does not match the centre of the thermal image, the zeroing function shifts the image in 1.1 cm steps at 100 m and saves the setting in a profile.
How long does the battery last?
Up to 7 hours per battery according to ThermTec, and two are included. Real battery life drops with Wi-Fi, recording and AI distance estimation.
Which scope magnification works well?
The manufacturer recommends day scopes of 1–12x. The on-screen icons can be enlarged to read well at the scope magnification.
Can it be used as a monocular?
Yes. With the ThermTec Hunt Eyepiece (sold separately) and the eyepiece mode in the menu, it becomes a handheld thermal monocular.
Can it handle large calibres?
ThermTec states recoil resistance up to 6000 J and advises checking the calibre recoil with the ammunition or rifle maker.
