Nocpix VISTA H50R thermal monocular with a 1200 m laser rangefinder built into the lens: 15 mK 640×512 sensor at 60 Hz, 50 mm F0.9 lens, round 2560×2560 AMOLED display, detection up to 2600 m and 650 g. Replaceable IBP-7 battery and IP67.

The Nocpix VISTA H50R thermal monocular has a laser rangefinder built into the lens, a 640×512 pixel sensor with NETD ≤15 mK and a 50 mm F0.9 objective lens. It belongs to the VISTA series, known for its round 2560×2560 AMOLED display and 8 mm exit pupil, and is built for observation and hunting, at night and by day, in fog, rain or when vegetation hides the animal.

Features

  • 640×512 sensor at 12 µm, NETD ≤15 mK and 60 Hz: Nocpix's own high-sensitivity sensor makes the animal's silhouette, anatomy and behaviour easy to tell apart; 60 Hz gives smooth images of moving animals.
  • 50 mm F0.9 objective lens: 8.8° × 7.0° field of view (15 × 12 m at 100 m), 4x to 40x magnification and a 2600 m detection range (1.7 × 0.5 m target). According to the manufacturer, the F0.9 aperture lets in about 20% more light than an F1.0 lens.
  • 1200 m laser rangefinder: integrated into the lens itself (2 in 1), with true optical axis alignment and a class 1 laser. It measures in single or continuous mode and feeds the ballistic calculator, which shows the recommended point of impact with up to 5 ammunition profiles.
  • Vision+ system: 1.03-inch round 2560×2560 AMOLED display, 8 mm exit pupil, 25 mm eye relief and Pure Vision mode. The rubber eyecup rotates and blocks light from the display so it does not give away your position.
  • Seven colour palettes: including red and pure green monochrome, with low brightness and a warm hue to reduce eye strain during long sessions. There is also picture-in-picture (PIP 2x), an Ultra-clear mode for rain and fog, and electronic image stabilisation.
  • Replaceable IBP-7 battery: a 4400 mAh pack that is easy to swap, up to 5.5 hours per battery at 22 °C. It charges on its own or inside the device through the USB-C port, which also accepts a 5 V power bank.
  • Recording and app: photo and video with sound (microphone) on 64 GB of internal memory. Over Wi-Fi it connects to the NOCPIX app for live view, firmware updates and custom buttons; with N-LINK it sends the measured distance to another compatible Nocpix device.
  • Made for the field: IP67, operation from −20 °C to +50 °C, silent buttons and a full TPU faux-leather covering for a secure grip.

Why choose this model?

The VISTA H50R is the choice for those who mainly observe open ground: the 50 mm F0.9 lens gives 4x base magnification and a 2600 m detection range, and the 1200 m rangefinder measures distance without putting the device down. It weighs 650 g, only 10 g more than the H35R.

Like every VISTA model with the letter R, it has the rangefinder integrated into the lens and the same 2560×2560 display. The measured distance appears on screen next to the thermal image, with no need to switch devices.

How to choose

The VISTA H35R is the most compact and lightest of the three (640 g), with the 35 mm lens and a wide 12.5° field of view, designed for short and medium distances and wooded areas. The VISTA H50R keeps the 640×512 sensor but moves to the 50 mm lens: the field of view becomes narrower (8.8°), base magnification rises to 4x and detection range reaches 2600 m, for open ground and long distances. The VISTA S50R is the top of the series: a 1280×1024 sensor with the 50 mm lens, which gives both the widest field of view (17.5° × 14.0°, 2x base magnification) and the most detailed image when zooming in. All three range up to 1200 m and share the display, battery and functions; the difference lies in the sensor, the lens and the field of view.

Frequently asked questions

How far does the VISTA H50R rangefinder measure?
Up to 1200 m, according to the manufacturer. The laser is class 1 and built into the lens, with single or continuous measurement.

At what distance does it detect an animal?
The manufacturer states 2600 m for a 1.7 × 0.5 m target. Detection means seeing that there is a heat source; recognising and identifying the animal requires much shorter distances.

What battery does it use and how long does it last?
It uses the IBP-7 4400 mAh pack, which is easy to swap. It gives up to 5.5 hours at 22 °C and two batteries come in the box.

Can it be used during the day?
Yes. The VISTA series is designed for night and day use, and the thermal image does not depend on light.

Does it record video?
Yes, photo and video with sound on 64 GB of internal memory. Files can be transferred to a phone or computer over Wi-Fi or with the cable.
