Long-range thermal monocular with a laser rangefinder up to 1000 m (±1 m), a 640 × 512 sensor with NETD below 15 mK, a 50 mm F0.9 lens and detection up to 2600 m. 1920 × 1080 OLED display, shutterless imaging, Wi-Fi and a 21700 battery.

The Hikmicro Falcon FQ50L 2.0 is the most complete model in the Falcon 2.0 series: to the 640 × 512 sensor with NETD below 15 mK and the 50 mm F0.9 lens it adds an integrated laser rangefinder that measures up to 1000 m with ±1 m accuracy. With 2.7× base magnification and detection up to 2600 m, it is an observation device for open country, for those who want to locate an animal and know its distance straight away, in a single cylindrical-body device.

Features

  • Integrated laser rangefinder: measures from 10 m to 1000 m with ±1 m accuracy; 905 nm laser, class 1.
  • 50 mm F0.9 lens: large aperture, 2.7× base magnification and detection up to 2600 m; rear focus wheel, 5 m minimum focus.
  • 640 × 512 sensor with NETD below 15 mK: high detail and good reading of small temperature differences at long range.
  • 0.49-inch OLED display, 1920 × 1080: six palettes (black hot, white hot, red hot, fusion, red monochrome and green monochrome).
  • Shutterless imaging (HSIS): no calibration freezes during observation.
  • Image Pro 2.0 and Zoom Pro: detail enhancement and digital zoom up to 8× (21.6×).
  • Replaceable 21700 battery: 6 hours or more at 25 °C, with Wi-Fi, Zoom Pro and rangefinder on.
  • Recording and app: 64 GB for photos and video, 2.4/5 GHz Wi-Fi and the HIKMICRO Sight app.

Frequently asked questions

Does the rangefinder work at night? Yes. The laser measures distance without relying on light; you aim at the target through the thermal image and the reading appears on the display.

How much runtime does the rangefinder cost? The manufacturer states 6 hours or more with the rangefinder on, against 6.5 hours or more for the FQ50 2.0 without rangefinder.

Can it be mounted on a rifle? No. It is a handheld observation monocular, with no reticle and no weapon mount.

Does it work in daylight and through glass? It works day and night, because it senses heat, not light. It cannot see through glass.
