The low profile sits the sight closer to the barrel, which helps repeat the same cheek position on the stock every time and reduces mounting parallax error. In return, it requires the objective lens of the sight to be narrow enough not to touch the barrel.

Before ordering, check two figures: the tube diameter of your sight (30 mm, and not 25.4 mm) and the rail width of your gun.
