The Dacron string for traditional bows is made from Dacron fibre with a Flemish twist, the classic twisted finish of traditional bows and longbows.
Dacron is a fibre with some elasticity, which reduces the shock passed on to the limbs and to the riser. It is therefore the usual material on wooden bows and on older bows, which were not built for low elasticity materials.
Choose the length by the measurement given by the bow manufacturer and wax the string regularly to extend the life of the braid.
